Xiomara Laugart best known for being one of the six band members of the wildly popular Cuban fusion band, Yerba Buena, released her debut solo album in 2006. In celebration of it, and her other projects, Laugart is set to perform at the intimate Joe’s Pub on Wednesday April 3rd and 9:30. Her most recent release, La Voz (2010) is a combination of new songs and old Cuban standards, with a twist that only someone as versed and musically experienced as she can do. In 2007 Laugart made her Off-Broadway debut filling the big sequined shoes of Celia Cruz in Celia: The Musical. There’s sure to be something for everyone.
