“The Girl” by David Riker, is a captivating story of an Austin woman who finds herself as a “coyote” in helping an illegal Mexican family cross the border. Through a series of terrible events, she finds herself with a young , confused little girl who she must now care for.
For five generations the Vega family from Veracruz has occupied central stage in traditional son jarocho music. In its current formation, Los Vega began fifteen years ago as a project of the new generation of the Vega family.
