Columbia University hosts this exhibit of the works of renowned Spanish architect Félix Candela. Candela revolutionized Mexican architecture and the way concrete is used, most often using it to fashion the elegant hyperbolic paraboloid geometric form (whoa) for which he’s most known. It is truly amazing what Candela was engineering as early as 1955 (the man was born in 1910). Get to know him in person though his designs, correspondence and scale models –Feb.11 to March 31, Wed.–Sat., 1–5 p.m. The Wallach Art Gallery.
