The Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, Evita, is based on the life of the charismatic and intelligent wife of Juan Peron, First Lady of Argentina Eva Peron. Elena Roger will be the first Argentine actress to play the role of Eva Perón on Broadway. Ricky Martin gives a Drama-League nominated performance as Che, and everyman experiencing the Peron government firsthand – often played as a young Che Guevara, but not so here – and Broadway star Michael Cerveris will be playing the Revolutionary President.
