A Better Life

Event Description

Check out the upcoming free screening of A Better Life, a film which gives a human face to the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants in America. Starring Academy Award–nominated actor Demián Bichir (Weeds, Ché) as a migrant worker and single father caring for his teen son.

Director Chris Weitz is being lauded for creating a powerful and inspiring film that looks at the struggle of immigrants American dreaming (i.e. in search of the American dream). Directly following the screening, the director will discuss how he came to make the film and a heck of a lot more. We can’t always have the perfect moral compass in life but at least there are movies to make up for it!
