Washington Heights will finally have its close-up. Northern Manhattan as Muse is a 40-page booklet featuring 17 painters, filmmakers, sculptors, drawers, photographers, performers, songwriters and playwrights. Photography is by Mike Fitelson.
This exhibit features photographic portraits and essays that I created about 17 local artists and a group show of their artwork. They aren’t just any artists. The kicker is that each of them was selected because they have created a significant body of work that was inspired by Washington Heights and Inwood.
