El Museo del Barrio will present the exhibition Phantom Sightings, the first to focus on the work of Chicano artists since the mid-1990s with a strong conceptual dimension. It features about 100 works in all contemporary media art by 27 artists and collectives.
Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement comes to New York ending a tour that began at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art in September 2008 and then traveled through Mexico and the Southwest.
