This summer you can’t miss the concerts at SummerStage and Celebrate Brooklyn! Among them many of our favorites will perform for NY music heads. Bomba Estéreo will be playing at Celebrate Brooklyn!, now imagine a mix of Colombian cumbia and champeta with an explosive dance-fusion of electronic dub and hip hop. When it comes to Pernambuco Orquestra Contemporânea de Olinda, its young musicians are attempting to carry forward the legacy of the late musical genius Chico Science with their groove-filled fusion of frevo and forró with drum and bass, rock, and world rhythms.
La Secta Allstar will be joining the show as well to bring their Puerto Rican alternative sound. But that isn’t all. Brooklyn’s Navegante will open up the day, replacing Rita Indiana, who canceled earlier in the summer. This show is one to not miss!
