Benicio Goes Lobo
This upcoming Friday the 12th marks the opening night for Benicio del Toro’s latest film The Wolfman. A science fiction film based on the well-known British legend of a man who turns into a mix of human and beast at full moon, attacking and eating innocent bystanders.
I am glad to see they chose Puerto Rican Benicio out of all the hairy and scruffy-looking men in Hollywood to play the part in this remake of the 1941 original. Hugh Jackman would have been overkill, am I right? Let’s see how the audience receives his first performance as a sci-fi creature, can he compete against Shakira’s wolfness? I don’t know, at least he has green eyes and doesn’t have to wear contact lenses, but from the trailer, he’s not even trying to pull a British accent next to costars Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt. Hopefully his moves wont be as odd as her booty-shaking. Theres’ a he-wolf in the closet…
The movie seems to be a huge block buster, it has all of the qualities to be a great hit: action, blood, good looks, crazy CGI , special effects, transformations, wolfs and full moons……auuu!
