Sonido Martines: Psychedelic Cumbia Night!

Event Description

Sonido Martines is a true Cumbia archeologist. All this cumbia tropical movement happening right now is thanks to Sonido Martines. One of the founder of Festicumex (cumbias experiemntales), also Tropical parties like Chifa Sound in Buenos Aires. Martines travels around South America searching for those sounds that have forgotten by people and that modern music has killed.

You don’t see DJs like Sonido Martines everyday, so don’t miss to this event.

Cumbia set by DJ/Rupture.
Live Music by M.A.K.U* sound System.
Visuals by Vj Chef

Sonido Martines is South America’s finest cumbia selector & tropical crate-digger. In his mixes cumbia rubs up against chicha, vallenato, dancehall, and hiphop, as well as latin urban beats from all over. He’s a tireless record-digger and a sought-after remixer, known for turning classic (& obscure) cumbias into dancefloor bangers. He based in La Paz, Bolivia, but travels travels widely around South America looking for records and DJing, especially in Lima (Peru), Bogota (Colombia), and Buenos Aires (Argentina).” -MySpace
